In 1779 Distilleria Bortolo Nardini was founded, the oldest distillery in Italy, now in its seventh generation. Grappa Fratelli Nardini is one of the most famous and sold in Italy. Still today, the descendants of the founders run the company and by the will of Giuseppe and Cristina Nardini they have decided to give their city, Bassano del Grappa, famous worldwide for its Palladian work the "Ponte Vecchio", a great and unique work of contemporary architecture. In 2004, on the occasion of the 225th anniversary of the company's foundation, the "Bolle Nardini", a modern work of architecture designed by the Italian architect Massimiliano Fuksas, was inaugurated and presented to the general public..
